Sorin is a former National Team Member for Romania (1985-1988). He holds a degree from the National Academy of Physical Education & Sports, Bucharest. Sorin was a performer in the High Bar/Trapeze Act of Cirque Du Soleil "Mystere" show at Treasure Island for seven years. He was selected to coach both the US and Canadian teams for the Maccabia Games held in Israel during the summer of 2001. His certifications include USAG/Safety,​
