PETE ARENAS
Pete and Kim opened Georgia Elite in 2006 in hopes of having a nationally recognized program with the best staff for kids of all ages and talent level. Pete left his sales job in 2009 and became a full time optional coach and gym owner. In January of 2013, Pete and Kim built a new gym to facilitate the growing interest in the area.
They have won two Level 5 Team State Championships, as well as a Level 8, 9, and 10 Team State Championship. Two of their athletes received full gymnastics scholarships to the UGA Gymdogs in Lindsey Cheek and Morgan Reynolds. In 2013, they developed their first "elite" gymnast in their daughter Elena Arenas.
Because of their success, Pete now flies to Houston, TX monthly to the National Team Training Center where he works directly with the national staff under the direction of Marta Karoyli and Valeri Liukin in their "US National Developmental Camps" The wealth of knowledge he is gaining under Valeri Liukin is now being shared with everyone involved in the program.
